Welcome to CountryAPI, an API to query, manage and edit country data.

What you can do on this website

• View all country flags - See a gallery full of images of country flags.
• View all country shapes - See a gallery full of images of country shapes.
• Select a Country to Edit* - Choose a country from the list to edit its details.
• Create a New Country* - Add a new country to the database.

Which API endpoints you can use

• GET /country/:alpha2 – Get all details of a country as JSON.
• GET /country/:alpha2/flag – Get the flag of a country.
• GET /country/:alpha2/shape – Get the shape of a country.
• GET /country/random – Get a random selection of countries as JSON.
            count={int} – limit the number of countries (default: 1)
            fields={string1,string2,...} – specify fields to include (optional)

alpha2 refers to the official 2 characters long alpha 2 iso codes. See this list for more information about it.
